Terms of Service

Effective July 25, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Clanly service — the shared task lists, accounts, synchronization, and related features described below. By using Clanly you agree to these terms. The Clanly app you download from the App Store is licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement; these terms cover the service the app connects to.

The service

Clanly lets you create task lists and share them with the people you invite. While signed out, lists stay on your device. When you sign in, shared content syncs across your devices and with the members of your lists. How information is processed is described in the Privacy Policy.

Accounts

You can sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for your account and for activity that happens through it. Keep access to your sign-in method secure, and contact hello@yusuke.ca if you believe your account has been used without permission.

Your content

You keep all rights to the content you add to Clanly — list names, tasks, notes, and profile photos. So that the service can operate, you grant Clanly the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display that content to you and to the members of the lists you share, according to their roles. Content in a shared list is visible to that list's members, so only share what you are comfortable sharing and only invite people you trust.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Clanly for unlawful purposes or to store or share content that is illegal, infringing, or abusive.
• Do not attempt to access other people's data, disrupt the service, or circumvent security or role-based access controls.
• Do not misuse invitations — for example, by distributing invitation links or codes to gain access you were not meant to have.

Clanly Pro subscriptions

Some features require Clanly Pro, an auto-renewable subscription purchased through Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account, and the subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store account settings. Prices are shown in the App Store before purchase and may vary by region. Refunds are handled by Apple. Use Restore Purchases in the app's settings to restore an existing subscription on a new device. The free plan has limits — such as the number of lists you can own — that may change over time.

Changes to the service and termination

Clanly may change, suspend, or discontinue features as the service evolves. You can stop using Clanly at any time; to request deletion of an account and associated cloud data, email hello@yusuke.ca as described in the Privacy Policy. Access may be suspended or terminated for use that violates these terms or harms the service or its users.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Clanly is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Clanly is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable law that cannot be limited by agreement.

Children

Clanly is a general-audience service and is not directed to children under 13.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as Clanly changes. Material updates will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect means the updated terms apply.
